My role: Instructional Designer (research, script, graphic design, storyboard, development)
Client: Learning Solutions Company
Challenge: I was given the challenge by a learning solutions company to reevaluate and redesign a module within a leadership training course, specifically focused on "Building Trust in the Workplace." This course was initially delivered as remote instructor-led training, and the goal was to transform it into a fully eLearning module that was concise, high-level, and no longer than 30 minutes.
Solution: To address the challenge, I began by conducting thorough research to define what content should remain or be added, ensuring that the course was streamlined yet effective. I worked closely with the company's stakeholders to understand the audience, making the course relevant to employees. I reassessed the existing learning goals and objectives, condensed the content without sacrificing quality, and designed knowledge checks to reinforce key concepts. Additionally, I created videos, job aids, and scenario-based learning activities to support learning and collaborated with the company’s project manager and instructional designers to ensure the module was engaging and aligned with the overall training goals.
VIDEO 1 - Scenario - Picture This
Tools: Camtasia, Canva, Audiate
As part of the leadership training module I developed, I created a video that introduced a scenario highlighting the challenges managers face with trust in the workplace. The video was designed to engage learners from the start and set the stage for exploring trust-building strategies. By depicting a common situation where a manager gathers more information before making decisions, the video encourages reflection on current trust strategies. As learners progress through the module and gain new knowledge, they revisit the scenario to compare their initial reactions with how they might approach it differently.
VIDEO 2 - Uber and Frances Frei
Tools: Camtasia, Canva, Audiate
To introduce the content based on Frances Frei's Trust Triangle, I developed a video that introduces her and explains her relevance to the topic. This video serves as a foundational element, setting the context for the trust-building strategies discussed in the module by highlighting her expertise and contributions to the field.

Challenge: The challenge as an instructional designer involved the creation of an asset that effectively conveyed a college student's experience studying abroad. This asset would be an important component within WorldKind's Traveler Training Program, an e-learning course designed for universities to offer students preparing for study abroad experiences. To address this task, I collaborated with the Subject Matter Expert (SME), who was the college student with firsthand experience studying abroad. Together, we collaborated to shape a narrative following the SOAR framework—Situation, Obstacle, Action, and Result—that aligned with the "Cultural Adaptation and Mental Well-Being" module of the training program. In this collaborative process, through interviews and interactive documents, I gathered all the necessary information and insights required to incorporate the story seamlessly into the module. The ultimate objective was to ensure that the student's narrative served as a valuable and relatable resource for enhancing cultural adaptation and mental well-being among learners preparing for their study abroad journeys.
Solution: For this task, I transformed the student's narrative into two distinct assets. The first asset was designed to portray the challenges the student encountered during their study abroad experience (Trigger), while the second asset provided insights into the student's solutions to these challenges (Solution). To bring this vision to life, I utilized Canva to source stock video footage that seamlessly aligned with the narrative. Additionally, I collaborated with a volunteer to record the voiceover, thereby converting the written student's story into a compelling video asset. I used Camtasia to skillfully create a captivating video that authentically conveyed the student's story. This approach ensured that the training program offered not just a theoretical understanding but also real-life examples and solutions to enhance the cultural adaptation and mental well-being of future study abroad students.

Challenge: Creating a short tutorial on adding Sections in Google Forms while ensuring that the instructions cover adding, deleting, moving, and merging Sections was the initial challenge. The objective was to develop a tutorial to be integrated into a Rise 360 Course designed to teach users how to leverage Sections and Conditional Logic in Google Forms, taking their skills beyond the basics.
Solution To address this challenge, I crafted a self-developed script and provided a voiceover to create a comprehensive video tutorial. The tutorial was carefully produced using tools like Camtasia, Canva, and Audiate, ensuring step-by-step instructions to guide users through the process. The end result was a valuable addition to the Rise 360 Course, enhancing the learning experience for users seeking to master the use of Google Forms.
Challenge: Creating a short tutorial that effectively guides users through the nuances of utilizing Conditional Logic in Google Forms. This advanced feature allows for directing users to specific Sections based on their responses. The task at hand was to produce a video tutorial that could be seamlessly integrated into a Rise Course, which aimed to educate users on using the potential of Sections and Conditional Logic to elevate their Google Forms proficiency beyond the basics.
Solution: I developed an instructional video tutorial that led users through the complexities of Conditional Logic in Google Forms. The tutorial was created using a self-authored script and voiceover, while employing tools such as Camtasia, Canva, and Audiate to enhance the learning experience. The final product served as a valuable addition to the Rise 360 course, and its success can be attributed to its clarity and concise length, making it an effective tool for empowering users to make the most of the potential of Google Forms and Conditional Logic for more advanced form creation and data collection.
Tools: Camtasia and Canva
Challenge: The challenge at hand was to create a concise video that effectively demonstrated how a Google Form with Sections appears to both the person creating it and the end user. This project was a part of the process of earning a Camtasia credential in IDOL Academy Courses.
Solution: I designed an explainer video that showcases the dual perspective within the video, requiring proficiency in video editing skills using Camtasia and visual design using Canva.
