My Professional background
I am passionate about designing learner-centered tools and materials that support and empower the learner to solve problems. Over the last 18+ years I have enjoyed creating engaging and effective training experiences for learners. I designed curriculum, planned and delivered lessons, managed projects while meeting deadlines, and collaborated with subject matter experts to provide high quality and effective learning. I possess full proficiency in both Spanish and English languages.
My Education
My journey with Instructional Design began through the IDOL Courses Academy in January 2023 which enabled me to advance the design skills I have developed, and cultivate them in a corporate friendly setting. I dedicated time to gaining a deep understanding of adult learning theories and combine them with my knowledge about pedagogy to create meaningful learning experiences for training solutions.
As an educator, I participated in various trainings and workshops that allowed me to develop my skills in curriculum design. This experience and knowledge helped me mentor and support colleagues to gain a clear understanding of objectives and roadmap help others achieve learning objectives.
I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a minor degree in Education from Villanova University.
Why Instructional Design?
During my many years working as an educator, I have developed a true passion for designing material and tools that enhance the learning process. I truly believe visual design is as important as the content being delivered and I enjoy using my creativity and problem solving skills to empower others to learn and achieve their goals. I enjoy collaborating with a team to to find the best and most efficient solutions.
A few things about me
Born and raised in El Salvador, I am a passionate traveler and life long learner. My two biggest passions are traveling and learning. I love experiencing life in different countries while learning about different cultures and constantly opening my mind to new ideas and points of views. I lived in the United States, Spain, Italy and most recently in Mexico. I love the outdoors and nature, and I constantly seek opportunities to develop connections with people of all different walks of lives.
