CASE STUDY:

Background and Problem Context:

As a personal project for IDOL Academy, this e-learning course was created to address the training needs of a fictional company, Cloudworth. Employees within Cloudworth have expressed their concerns about the lack of positive relationships between managers or leaders and themselves. This issue has resulted in ineffective communication, impacting decision-making processes and hindering the alignment of objectives.

Solution

In response to Levitate Inc.'s challenge, I developed an Instructor-Led Training package aimed at empowering facilitators to deliver a comprehensive lesson on aligning expectations and implementing effective meeting practices to enhance overall company productivity. The package comprises a presentation slide deck, facilitator's guide, and participant's guide, providing all employees with a practical framework consisting of 8 steps to plan and execute efficient meetings. The primary objective of this course is to establish a consistent meeting culture and foster shared expectations throughout the company.

Results

Six months after the implementation of this course among employees responsible for scheduling meetings, Levitate Inc. reported a 40% increase in employee productivity.  This was attributed to a 25% reduction in meeting frequency, which in turn allowed for a more efficient use of employees’ time.  As a result, employees showed a greater disposition to collaborate as teams at their own discretion and only when necessary.  By using alternative tools for monitoring project goals and objectives, they reported a heightened perception of their worth and showed a greater motivation towards reaching the organization’s overarching objectives.
