WorldKind Job Aids

Context: During my internship at WorldKind, I took on the role of an Instructional Designer, actively contributing to the creation of diverse design documents. Client: WorldKind, a global e-learning company

Challenge: The project above was a collaborative effort which engaged three instructional designers, with each of us being assigned one of the three social media posts for LinkedIn and IDOL Academy. In my role, I took charge of the final post. Working together, we collectively transformed provided information into visually appealing designs that aligned with the organization's branding, emphasizing program details, stimulating audience engagement, and highlighting program benefits. I, in particular, was assigned the last post in the series, which involved building upon what the other instructional designers had created. I ensured a similar design approach while modifying it to have a stronger call to action, all contributing to our mission of inspiring professionals to connect college students interested in participating, thereby further enhancing the program's growth and success.

Solution: Our solution for this task involved creating PDF documents to be shared as carousels on LinkedIn. Each carousel consisted of pages that remained consistent, but the three different carousels presented unique posts. Despite these variations in design, they all conveyed the same core information in a unified manner. As part of our solution, I took the additional responsibility of translating all three posts into Spanish, widening our outreach. This approach aimed to capture the audience's attention, maintain the organization's brand identity, and effectively communicate program details through visually engaging and appealing posts.

Challenge: This task involved the creation of a document that complemented the information previously covered in a module of an e-learning course. This document was specifically intended to serve as a checklist, allowing the learner to have a tangible reference to the information shared in the module. I was assigned the responsibility of graphic design to ensure that all the information was presented clearly on a single page, while also adhering to the organization's brand guidelines. Our goal was to offer a visually appealing and practical tool that not only reinforced the learning but could also be actively applied and utilized by the learner as they progressed in their educational journey.

Solution: After designing and creating the document, I collaborated with another instructional designer to enhance its functionality based on stakeholder feedback. Together, we transformed the static document into an interactive checklist that not only presented the information but also allowed users to input their own details. This collaborative effort aimed to provide an even more engaging and personalized learning experience for the users, ensuring that they could actively apply the information to their own situations.

Challenge: As an instructional designer, my task was to participate in a contest to create a conference banner for World Kind, with the objective of making it stand out at the conference.

Solution:  To address this challenge, I initiated by researching the organization's core information, aiming to incorporate the most crucial details efficiently. My primary goal was to quickly engage conference attendees, sparking their interest in visiting World Kind's booth. During this process, I actively sought feedback from another instructional designer and a key stakeholder. Through our collaborative efforts, we developed a strong and captivating design that truly set itself apart at the conference.
